One of the greatest movies in this genre. A few full sex scenes would have made it a big money maker. Those who commented negatively, need really take time to look at society today. I as a South African, of mixed heritage understood and appreciated the movie as it is a story and lifestyle that has played out here long past, the world wide abolishment of slavery. It carried on openly to as late as 1990. Today it occurs In almost similar circumstances, in the rural areas of South Africa, although today the white farm owner use their economic power, economic and financial power they accumulated pre 1994 and the ascendency of Nelson Mandela. I salute the producers of this artistic work.
